Rodeo! Math!! Breaking Dawn!!! HOMECOMING!

Being raised in small town Vernal you learn how to Rodeo the right way! So we got really excited when SUU had a college rodeo here in Cedar a couple weeks ago. It was way fun minus the wind!! However, it sure wasn't no Dinosaur Round-up Rodeo which was kinda depressing! We still got all dressed up and had a fabulous roommate night :)

Um I passed my first Math 1010 test last Monday!! I took the dang class last year but had a really bad attitude and just over all a horrible semester so it didn't turn out too well. I got a 90 freakin PERCENT on this test though so I have a very good feeling about it this year!

So I started reading Breaking Dawn this summer when I didn't have any homework and only got about half way through before school started. Last week for some dumb reason I decided to pick it back up again! Anyways I was thinking about the different guys in the book, Jacob and Edward of course! But you know how Jacob is always just Bella's best friend and nothing else?? You know how some guys are just like that? One of the best friends a girl could ask for and you love them to death but only as a friend...And then there is Edward! I want to find my Edward!!! I really shouldn't read love stories anymore...

CAN'T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE TO COME OUT ON NOVEMBER 18TH!!

I love fall for one reason and that is the football!! I'm not really into College football except for my own school especially on homecoming week! There was alot going on and even though we only went to a few things I still had fun last week! Me and Kelsey went to the Homecoming Queen Pageant and left early to dye my hair again HA! Me and Karlee went to some concerts friday night but left because of the rain! The storm was great that night though! I stood outside for like an hour just watching the lightning :)

So story about this picture...We were at the
game and I was trying to take a picture of the
three of us but clearly that stands were packed!
The kid in front of me about grabbed my camera
because it was pretty much on top of his head when
I took the picture. I moved it a little fast and made that face...don't ask...

It was a super good game and we won 45 to 22!! Awesome week but now back to reality where I have homework, studying, reading, and no sleep ahead of me...

Walking uphill to school...both ways!!

To start I just want to say I love math when I understand it!! I struggled last semester with the proffesor, but this year I got an english speaking proffesor and can I just say it makes a world of difference! He is great and I have a test next week, which i'm pretty sure i'm going to pass with flying colors! However, I hate my first two classes of the day because we learn about things I want but can't have. Babies and food! Nutirion is at noon and I don't eat all day so that class is a total killer!! In my Human Development class we are just getting started and I'm pretty sure we get to see the miracle of childbirth today...Can't decide if I'm excited or not! HA!
Guess we will see how it goes. My teacher shared this little thing with the class a week or two ago and I really liked it! It kinda reminds me of how I grew up, wished I would have grown up, and how I want my kids to live.

Raising Kids!
We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them worse. For my grandchildren, I'd like better. I'd really like for them to know about hand-me-down clothes and homemade ice cream and leftover meatloaf sandwiches. I really would. I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn honesty by being cheated. I hope you learn to make your bed and mow the lawn and wash the car. And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when you are sixteen. It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your old dog put to sleep. I hope you get a black eye fighting for something you believe in. I hope you have to share a bedroom with your younger brother.
And it's all right if you have to draw a line down  the middle of the room, but when he wants to crawl under the covers with you because he's scared, I hope you let him. I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that you live in a town where you can do it safely. On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope you don't ask your "driver" to drop you two blocks away so you won't be seen riding with someone as uncool as your mom. If you want a slingshot I hope you Dad teaches you how to make one instead of buying one. I hope you learn to dig in the dirt and read books.
When you learn to use computers, I hope you also learn to add and subtract in your head.
I hope you get teased by your friends when you have your first crush on a girl, and when you talk back to your mother that you learn what ivory soap tastes like. May you skin your knee climbing a mountain, burn your hand on a stove and stick your tongue on a frozen flagpole.
I don't care if you try a beer once, but I hope you don't like it. and if a friend offers you a dope or a joint, I hope you realized he is not your friend. I sure hope you make time to sit on a porch with your Grandpa and go fishing with your Uncle. May you feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during the holidays. I hope your Mother punishes you when you throw a baseball through a neighbor's window and that she hugs you and kisses you at Christmas time when you give her a plaster mold of your hand. These things I wish for you--tough times an disappointment, hard work and happiness. to me, its a the only way to appreciate life.

"I hate love"

“Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”
