College!!

So I have officially started my Sophomore year of College!! Mostly I'm just posting today to tell everyone I may not blog so much this semester since I'm taking 16 credits (I know its not very much but I do have to pass Math so its gonna be tuff!) even though I'm pretty sure Kelsey is the ONLY one who reads this haha!

And seriously this is my life except add work in there somewhere!

Proud to be who I am

A week ago today this world lost a great man! Daniel Gurr was fighting for our Country when he lost his life. I only knew him from associations, but knew his family. They have been through a lot in the last couple years and this was another trial they have to overcome. As Uintah County came together to support our fallen hero it makes you think about how hard life can be and really how good I have it.  

My wonderful family came down to Cedar this past week for the Shakespeare festival and to go to St. George for a day for school shopping and to see the Tuacahn play Grease! It was great to have them down here and  I realized how lucky I am to have them here to support me in my life!! I love my Family and Friends so much and after this very emotional week I just want to thank them for everything they have ever done or will do in the future for me!

I am so proud to live in American and have all the freedoms that we are blessed with! I am proud to have been raised in a community where we can come together to support those in need and be grateful for how we got to be today! This summer I have been able to do many things that people in other countries and even ours could not even imagine doing. I am truly blessed to be where I am and have what I do today! I want to thank all those who have made it all possible!!

Changes!

I turned a year older last week so I guess I decided I need to change some things in my life. School is of course always one of those things in my life I seem to keep changing my mind about. So naturally I changed classes twice in the last week and now only taking 16 credits this semester instead of 18 like I had originally planned! Hehe :) I'm still planning on just getting my Assoicate's right now so that didn't change and I truely doubt it will cause I'm super not excited about starting school other than the fact I'll have something more to do during my days than work.

Work has been killing me lately! Its either too boring or so busy that I just hate it! Its just not really what I want to be doing witht the rest of my life and I'm ready to move onto whatever that it! Anyways so my days have been pretty much the same so I decided to start working out again! I've tried afternoons and nights but I always want to play or am too tired so its never stuck. From now on I will be getting up in the mornings and going running so I can hopefully lose some of my "Freshman 15" or at least look a little less pregnant!  I have officially been off Mt. Dew again for a week also :)

Since my hair is 3 different colors at this point I decided I needed to do something with it! Especially since school is starting in a couple weeks lol! I was going to wait and go get it done all cute and what not, but after all my summer advetures I can't really afford it haha! So me and Kels will be dying my hair tonight...hopefully it will turn out okay and I can add another color that my hair has been on the swatches below :)

19th Birthday!!

So after a very long weekend of playing I didn't really feel like doing anything for my birthday...Me and Kels had to both work all day anyways! Ha! So I came home from work and made my own cake, watched Friends for awhile till Kelsey got home so we could eat my cake :)

It was a really long weekend and I look like it!!

I'm getting to old to blow out candles!!! Mostly cause there is so many of them! 

While we ate our cake, ice cream, and dew we watched one of the best birthday movies!!

It was still a pretty good birthday! Thank you to my mommy, sis, the boys, Lexie, Casey, Karlee, my bestest friend Kels, My grandma and grandpa who bought me the hoodie I was wearing even though they didn't know that, all those who said something on facebook!! Love you all!!

Wow!! What a weekend!

As the summer comes to an end (kinda) we decided to have one more blow out of a weekend before school starts, one leaves on a missions, and others move to not so foreign places. Kelsey had to work Friday night so we missed the Scout breakfast and parade for the Pioneer Day celebrations :( We partied at the Drive in that night though with our future missionary! Rat was the one reason we came to Vernal that weekend for his Farewell. He left on my Birthday which was very mean but he will be a Great missionary and will be missed VERY much!!! As well as the Drive in, I finally got to see Vernals Ocean!! I've heard of it but never went to see it! Legit!! Haha! I love being in Vernal and playing with great friends!

Priceline is an AMAZING thing! Casey didn't know he was going to have an apartment in SLC when we signed up for all our crazy adventures so we got a hotel room. Let me just say it was TOTALLY worth it! We stayed in a almost 200 year old Hotel with Tempurpedic beds and honestly the only things they needed was a pool and fluffier towels! It was so nice to come back after the concert to something so Comfy!!

Okay so we all know Katy Perry as the girl who sang "I kissed a girl" but she is SO good! We decided to go to her concert in like February and it was a GRAND idea!! We started listening to her new CD and fell in love! It was well worth the wait even though it snuck up on us pretty fast! Me and Karlee were the only ones who bought anything all day including The California Dreams Tour shirts!! They were super cute and totally worth what we spent HAHA!

My dearest Kelsey isn't much of a pop music kind of girl but we sure do love jamming out to Katy Purry!! We had alot of fun even though I was the only one really jamming out at the concert :) I just really get into things like that, but my fellow concert goers weren't as much into the screaming at the top of there lungs and dancin to the music lol!

Our roommate for last year was also attending the concert just in a more crazy way lol! She and her friend dressed up and so we had to see them before the concert! Super funny girls and I love Nikki to death!!

The BEST Concert I've ever been to!! This picture was on the stage during one of our favorite songs "Firework"! The Concert had a cute/cheesy story line that went along with most of her songs and she had a ton of special effects, costumes, and was super nice and good the all the fans! She even sang REALLY well live! I would seriously consider going to all of her concerts from now on!!

Since we were going to be up North anyways we decided to make it complete with a trip to Lagoon!! We were all super tired from the night before but were still there before the park even opened!

It was so Hot and Humid that we decided to start riding all the wet rides around 1 ish! We went on the rapids twice and the log ride once...We were wet the rest of the day!! Not a good idea!! Haha!

After a very long day and weekend we were extremely exhausted!! Kelsey looks like a lobster and I'm so sore from jamming out I can barely stand, but it was still worth all the money and time we spent!! I wish every weekend could be like this one!!!

July and My New Goals

A spur of the moment trip home for the holidays can really be a good idea! Even though it was last weekend it still changed my life...weird how one weekend can change a persons whole perspective on the future.

So the whole reason I went  home this last weekend because of my wonderful car problems. Of course! I was driving my dad's Dodge neon after I had painfully learned to drive stick-shift, driven it for 6 months, and finally it felt like "my" car...It decides to break in 5 different places!! I HATE cars!!!!!

So after the trip to Vernal (which did involve me getting another speeding ticket, my second in the last 6 months) my daddy fixed everything except for the window shield. Dad thought it would be a bad idea if I drove it all the way back to Cedar, so I took my sisters car which is actually mine since I bought it 2 years ago. She decided to throw a fit every chance she got about it! I HATE sisters and cops! Both drive me crazy!! I'm going back to Vernal in 2 weeks, getting my car back, and giving hers back to her...you would think she would be okay to rely on our mom for 2 weeks...but NO!!

ANYWAYS after my weekend of car drama my mom said seriously quote "If you hadn't already signed up for classes and had your finacial aid I would say find another job and just buy a car." I was shocked!! But now all I want to do is quit school and buy a car :D

I always wanted a truck but I know that wont happen till I'm married which seems to be getting pushed back farther and farther, however that's a whole nother story that I wont be getting into today lol. After what mom said it made me start to re plan my life again. Now I'm going to make it through this next year of school as fast and hard as I can. Then either start the 2 jobs, saving, and buying a car route, or hair school! I keep putting the things that I want most in my life off for things that would be more sensible or what my parents would want me to do.

I want to quit my job because most days it drains my happiness, start hair school, feel like I can actually do something with my life, and I feel like I don't just have to wait around for prince charming to recuse me from my pathetic life. I think after being home kinda put downer on my life. My sister and I were looking through my mom and dad's pictures from back when they were in high school and they were just SO cute! Dated all through high school, mom waited for him on his mission, and the only problems they ever had were each other parents...I want that! Now its too late for the high school sweet heart dream and I just want to find that one guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep, the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on...blah blah blah!

So recently this song/video has been on my mind constantly! I couldn't figure out why until today. Of course my boyfriend didn't die and it wasn't nearly as heartbreaking as this video. However, this video does remind me of a sorta kinda relationship I recently had. All and all its an Amazing Video and seriously makes me cry every time!
